About the owner

The present owner, Raffael Litzler bought the former Hotel Sternen in November 2007 and has renamed it the Hotel-Restaurant Steinbock. Before this he held the tenancy for the Restaurant Allmend in Wengen for six years. Raffael Litzler is a keen hunter. All the game that he shoots is personally prepared by him in his restaurant.

About the hotel and its surroundings

The Hotel-Restaurant Steinbock is located immediately next to Lauterbrunnen railway station, from where you can take the train to Wengen, Kleine Scheidegg and on up to the Jungfraujoch.

Just opposite the hotel is the Mürren rail & cableway station, where you can board the aerial cableway to Grütschalp. A panoramic mountain railway runs from Grütschalp to Mürren, where an aerial cableway travels up to the Schilthorn. And just 10 metres from the hotel, postbuses leave for Stechelberg and Isenfluh. If you arrive in Lauterbrunnen by rail, it’s only around a one-minute walk to the hotel.
